As a part of its strategy to drive more Manhattan visitors to its suburban New York stores, global home furnishings giant IKEA launched the IKEA Marketing Outpost in midtown Manhattan.
The store was marketed as an ever-changing representation of of the IKEA concept. Using a highly adaptable merchandising platform, it focused on different areas of the home to bring the IKEA promise to life. The various presentations changed every 10 weeks, and each was based on a different theme, such as IKEA Cooks (kitchen cabinetry and accessories), IKEA Plays (children’s furnishings and educational toys), IKEA Sleeps (bedroom furnishings and textiles), and Practically IKEA (everyday home accessories).
IKEA enlisted Clarity Group to help extend its brand across all graphic systems for each concept storewide. Working within the framework of the IKEA concept, we created a fresh new visual experience for the retailer’s revolving merchandise mix.
